CONGRATULATIONS FHS BAND & COLOR GUARD!
On Saturday, November 14th, FHS Band Director Steve Menefee and the Ferndale High School Band and Color Guard took home their 5th consecutive win (1st place) at the Auburn Band Veteran's Day Competition. In addition, the Color Guard placed 1st in auxiliary, for the second year in a row. Also impressive is the level of complexity of this year's show. Our Area
FHS is located in the northwest corner of Washington State, only 15 miles south of the Canadian border. Our high school is the largest in the county at over 1,500 students. We have a wonderfully diverse population fed by new immigrants from all over Asia and Europe, long time area residents, migrant families, and the culturally rich Lummi Nation. Ferndale is growing rapidly with over 11,000 residents, as is most of Whatcom County (over 175,000 residents).
