Parents Public School Choice (due to AYP Status) Deadline is September 3, 2010

Release Date: August 31, 2010

As a component of the No Child Left Behind legislation, schools that do not meet adequate yearly progress (AYP) two years in a row in any category are required to offer parents the option to transfer their student to a school that is not in improvement.

School Board Adopts Budget for 2010-11

Ferndale School Board at its meeting of July 29 adopted the district budget for next year. The total budget is approximately $58.8 million with $50 million designated in the General Fund.

Ferndale School Board is seeking a director for Director District No. 1 to fill the unexpired term of Dr. John Hruby which expires November 2011.

Email Syntax Changes July 6

Class of 2010 Maintains 90 Percent Passing Rate

Initial testing results released by the state today indicate the Class of 2010 members are passing reading and writing assessments by 90 percent.

Middle School Bands Receive "Best Band" at Ski to Sea Junior Parade
