United Way of Whatcom County launched a new early learning initiative that will connect individuals and community partners to increase high school graduation rates. The decision was made earlier this week to collaborate with the Ferndale School District to significantly impact the success of children entering kindergarten, giving them the tools they need to graduate high school and become successful later in life.

Strengthening Families Program will be offered to families with 10-14 year old children. The class will meet Tuesdays, January 24-March 6, 2012, from 6:00-8:30 p.m. at Whatcom New Life Fellowship, 2290 Main Street, Ferndale. Fee is $35 for all seven sessions. Childcare is provided.
