With the help of students of the class of 2004 at Ferndale High School, the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center has obtained landmark results from the Hutchinson Study of High School Smoking, the largest randomized trial of teen smoking cessation ever conducted.

This past week, six Ferndale High School Students participated in Girls' and Boys' State programs at Central Washington University.
Elysee Ledford, Stephanie Porret, Jeffrey Finkbonner, Andrew Jungkuntz, Kristopher Mensing and Erich Carson spent a week at the leadership and citizenship training programs sponsored by American Legion Auxiliary and American Legion.

Burger Palace Boys from Ferndale High School's production of "Grease" won the 5th Avenue High School Musical Award for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble Group at an awards ceremony held June 9.
