AVAILABILITY OF PUBLIC RECORDS As outlined in WAC 44-14-030, the Ferndale
School District makes available public records documents during the hours
of 8:00 a.m. until 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, (excluding legal holidays).
Records must be inspected at the offices of Ferndale School District at 6041
Vista Drive, Ferndale, WA. The Ferndale School District will maintain its records in a reasonably organized manner. The Ferndale School District will take reasonable actions to protect records from damage and disorganization. A requestor shall not take Ferndale School District records from Ferndale School District offices without the permission of the Public Records Officer (or designee). Any person wishing to inspect or copy public records of Ferndale School District should put the request in writing on the Ferndale School District’s request form, or by letter, fax, or e-mail addressed to the Public Records Officer and including the following information: •
Name of requestor; If the requestor wishes to have copies of the records made instead of simply inspecting time, he or she should so indicate and make arrangements to pay for copies of the records or a deposit. Standard photocopies shall be made and provided at a cost of $.25 per page. The Public Records Officer or designee may accept requests for public records that contain the above information by telephone or in person. If the Public Records Officer or designee accepts the request, he or she shall confirm receipt of the information and the substance of the request in writing.
