Field Day

Every bit as wonderful as we imagined, this year's Field Day was among Custers best ever. The high level of sportsmanship and team spirit was inspiring and the weather was just overcast enough to keep us from getting too hot. Later, when it was time for popsicles, the sun came out in full force. A cheering assembly followed by yearbooks and the annual 6th grade vs. staff kickball game was the perfect ending.

Pirates!

The Musical, Pirates!, brought uncouth language unwashed bodies, and undeniable high spirits to the stage at Custer. There was an evening performance on April 2nd and an afternoon performance secon storythe following day. A singing stowaway, scurvy seadogs and the sonorous (sarsaparilla swigging) "Choir of No-Beards" danced and sang for appreciative crowds. Thanks to our musical director, Kara Telgenhoff for finding such a gem of a play. Brandi Caffrey and Janet Stephan assisted Mrs. Telgenhoff with directing and production duties. A further thanks to Mrs. Stephan for the wonderful coreography.
