Day 38 - 4/5
  1. Project Reflection/Evaluations: The purpose of the Self-Evaluation is to reflect on the learning and insight gained from the project. This 1-2 page document (double-spaced in Times/Times New Roman font) must address three key components:

    1) Summarizes the learning as a result of the project.

    · Review each learning goal and discuss the outcomes. Did you learn what you had planned? Did you find out that the learning was more/less complex than you originally planned for when developing your goals?

    2) Evaluates how problems were solved and explains solutions.

    · Describe the challenges you faced when planning and implementing the project. How did you tackle them? Who did you ask for assistance? What would you do differently next time?

    3) Explains how lessons learned from the project may be applied to the future.

    · What did you learn from this experience that will help you in your post high school years? How has it shaped you as a life-long learner?

  1. Passages: Take all of your Passages writings and put them in one Word document. As you are combining them read them to yourself and see where you could add details. When you have finished save it, print it and turn it into Rob.

  1. Reading: Read, skim the next step magazine. On rolling cart in Lab. Take a few notes about their advice for further schooling, internships, financial aid, etc.
  2. PowerPoint & Proof: Make certain you are documenting as you go. Bring pictures and we will work on modifying them.

  1. Q.o.t.D. #5: With midterm just past, how are you feeling about this class? Have you checked Basmati? Are there any errors, assignments you completed and I haven't gotten in the grade book? Do you need to meet with any of the advisory board (Don, Chris, Julia or me)?

  1. Post High School Plan: Revisit Post High-school Brainstorm (if you have one) or your original in your hard-copy portfolio. Revis it with your current reality/expectations. What are your plans for the next year or so and what are the steps to accomplish them? How will they continue to get you ready for your adult life.
  2. Passages: Type any passages you haven't typed..

  1. Q.o.t.D. #4 - What challenges do we face as a society? What is my role as a citizen?  How will I exert influence in the society? Are you 18 and registered to vote? If not, will you be? What is worth voting for? Why?
  2. Passages: Brainstorm a list of important events in your life. Starting with anything that may have influenced you that happened before you were born.

Day 9 - 2/21
  1. Login to the Culminating Project Information Management System (CP IMS) and check for comments. Make sure I, Rob Slater, am listed as your CP English teacher.
  2. Create a Blank template for your body pages of your Culminating Project PowerPoint. Include a background and places to insert pictures. Pick a font. Save it! Save it! Save it! Then save it in the T: drive (Thawspace) on the computer you're working on.
 
Day 8 - 2/20
  1. Go to \\Altsnap\students\TempStudFold\2. Class resources\Computer Apps Resources\Powerpoints [You can past this into your address bar on a school computer.] and go through the PowerPoint Tips Tutorial. Take notes in your Senior English notebook. Each page should have 1 main idea, until the final wrap up which should be similar to your notes.
 
Day 7 - 2/16

  1. Q.o.t.D. #3 - What do you do to pay/reward yourself for the good you do in the world? If you don't reward yourself what ways could you? What deals do you (or could you) make with yourself to get stuff done?
  2. Create an Opening Powerpoint Slide with your Name, the Title of your project, Clearview High School and the date you will present.

  1. Login to the Culminating Project Information Management System (CPIMS) and check for comments. Upload the journal entries you finished this week.
