Write. Tell me something I don't know about you.
Create
some questions of the day and ask me to answer them. Just
write
paragraphs with full sentences and appropriate punctuation.
- Remind them
that the spelling test will be tomorrow!
- Brainstorm: topics
for research. What are they interested in? Have
them start by writing down 10 things they would like to know more
about. Then after 10 minutes or so, start a big
list. Maybe categorize some. Once we’ve
got a big list ask them to choose 1 topic to research. Have
them write down 5 facts they know about the topic, 5 things they think
might be facts and 5 things they have no idea about.

time, you can take them to the lab (If
you want to.) to start researching. Tomorrow
we’ll be talking about sources.
