Ferndale School District is proud to announce it has been awarded the Building Bridges of Opportunity for Student Success Grant by Washington State Office of Public Instruction. Building Bridges is a $257,500 grant program for partnering schools, families and communities to build a comprehensive dropout prevention, intervention and retrieval system. Current partners include: Northwest Workforce Development Council (NWDC), Catholic Community Services (CCS), Northwest Educational Service District 189 (NWESD), Northwest Youth Services, Ferndale Boys' & Girls' Club, Ferndale Chamber of Commerce and local businesses.

The Building Bridges of Opportunity for Student Success (BBOSS) partnership, coordinated through Clearview High School, will connect at-risk youth with services such as personal counseling, leadership training, tutoring, career counseling, job-training, team-building, mentoring, job shadowing and internships, college, university and technical school visits. It will also create Summer School and Extended Day/Credit Retrieval/Distance Learning programs to offer flexible course delivery options for students to gain credits toward graduation.
