The Sasquatch Reading Award

This award is to promote the reading and writing of chapter books for the pleasure of young intermediate level readers. The children of Washington State chose the name for this award

Washington Children's Choice Picture Book

Twenty favorite books are selected annually by children in grades K-3 in Washington State. After children vote in March, their top favorite becomes the Washington Children's Choice Picture Book of the Year.

Young Reader's Choice Award

Established in 1940 to promote reading for enjoyment. Chosen by the children and young adults of Alberta, Alaska, British Columbia, Idaho, Montana, Oregon, and Washington, from books published 3 years previously, and nominated by librarians, teachers, students and others. In 1991, a Senior Division (grades 9-12) was added to the awards program.
