New Secondary School

In November 2006, the district completed the purchase of a 29-acre site located off Church Road for a new secondary school. This parcel of land located on Swede Hill was once part of the Erickson Dairy Farm, which began with an initial purchase of land by Rod Erickson’s grandfather more than 100 years ago. At the Ferndale School Board meeting held October 27 2006, Erickson conveyed that his father valued education and learning; he would be glad to see that the site will serve and teach children of the community.
