Ferndale High SchoolFerndale High School began as the "Old Main" building, built in 1936, with the "Alexander," wing built in 1956. Additions and renovations were made in 1986, 1993 and 1999. In 1998, a one of a kind natural resources facility was constructed. As a result of the 2006 Capital Project bond, several projects have been completed at Ferndale High School: Campus 1. Exterior lighting upgrades (see pictures) 2. Installation of video security system (see pictures) 3. Upgrade to the electrical distribution system (see pictures) 4. Addition of 2 “project/mini classroom added to Library (see pictures) 5. Photo darkroom and graphics classroom in CTE building (see pictures) 6. Conversion of general science classroom to chemistry ready (see pictures) 7. Conversion of regular classroom to chemistry ready (see pictures) Gym Area 8. New roof on the gymnasium (see pictures) 9. Refinishing of the gym floors 10. New bleachers in the old gym 11. Lighting upgrades in both gyms 12. Restrooms added to gym foyer (see pictures) 13. Construction of new fitness/weight room (see pictures) Fine Arts Area 14. Restrooms added to Auditorium foyer (see pictures) 15.
