About FHS

Welcome to Ferndale High School!

Our entire staff at FHS is committed to providing a truly outstanding high school experience for our students. As our mission statement says: "Ferndale High School will be a positive place that empowers each student to be a lifelong learner and responsible citizen in an ever-changing world." Our top-notch staff works constantly to improve and serve every student with our best efforts.

Ferndale High School is the hub of our community. Our students take great pride in showing off their talents to our community, be it on the athletic fields, musical performances, art exhibitions and other student competitions. Please visit us and our students at one of our many events and activities.

I am proud and thankful to be a "Golden Eagle".

FHS is located in the northwest corner of Washington State, only 15 miles south of the Canadian border. Our high school is the largest in the county at over 1,500 students. We have a wonderfully diverse population fed by new immigrants from all over Asia and Europe, long time area residents, migrant families, and the culturally rich Lummi Nation. Ferndale is growing rapidly with over 11,000 residents, as is most of Whatcom County (over 175,000 residents).
