May 2008 Capital Projects Bond

With $21 million dollar March 2008 Bond not receiving the required 60% voter approval for  Custer Elementary, North Bellingham Elementary and district wide Safety Upgrades, the FSD Bond Committee was reconvened on March 20, 2008.  The purpose of this meeting was to discuss the district’s possible option and provide direction to the FSD School Board.  For more information on that meeting please see the information below:

On March 21, 2008 during a FSD School Board work session the same presentations by Rolluda Architects were given to the School Board.  These presentations included interactive discussion, audience comment and board discussion.

At the regularly scheduled, FSD School Board meeting on March 27, 2008; the Board unanimously approved a resolution for placing a  $ 21 million Bond as part of a special election on the May 20, 2008 ballot.

The Bond will fund the replacement of Custer Elementary, replacement of the 1938 building at North Bellingham Elementary and district wide Safety Upgrades.  Click below to see the official ballot.
