Vista Middle School was built in 1970.

An auxiliary gymnasium, computer lab and 10 additional classrooms were added to the original structure in 1994.

Improvements to the heating/cooling system are needed in order to deliver fresh air overhead and to provide for segregated heating/cooling in various areas of the building.
