Mountain View Elementary was built in 1960 with additions completed in 1986, 1988, 1994 and 1999.

Mountain View provides a variety of programs to serve a diverse student population.

The school is in need of fire road access to the rear of the building and requires Three additional classrooms to ease overcrowding.
Regulations indicate that in order for the district to add any additional classroom space a fire road must accompany additional classrooms. Electrical upgrades and a new covered play area are also needed.
